I’ve just created and am finishing up a new Home Assistant setup, nearly all has been done.
It seemed too complicated to export and import from my old HAS to this ‘normal’ HA setup (HA Supervisor will no longer be available soon, as they’ve stopped it)
Basically all went well I recreated all my devices but buggered if I could install Overkiz which I need to run my Somfy blinds.

Tahoma app.
Reading up. I kept seeing just use the Tahoma app on the phone (which I have) and tap on a certain line 7 times to get an API generated. Lots of reading the forums later. I found that this is rubbish as it just doesn’t work.
When I tried just importing the Overkiz device into HA. It asks if you want a local or a cloud setup. Local says me as I don’t have a Overkiz cloud. But nothing works WTF ? More details here :

Cloud setup
If you chose the Cloud setup. It says that you need :
Username for your Overkiz cloud account (account you use in your IoT app).
Password for your Overkiz cloud account (account you use in your IoT app).
Again I don’t have a cloud account, so logically I don’t have a IoT account
Then I wondered and so I tried just adding my Somfy web site Login and Password and FMG (bad language) it worked
Many hours later. All I really needed was to Login to Overkiz (Cloud API) using the Somfy web site login and password, NOT an account you use in your IoT app……..
It finally works
It works. Home Assistant adding Overkiz could be simple but the explications make it extremely difficult
